Gaming Commissioner Certification Interest
The Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission (GLTGC) is seeking Tribal Citizens interested in becoming certified as Gaming Commissioner. The Gaming Commission is a three-person body that is independent and autonomous political subdivision of the Gun Lake Tribe. The Gaming Commission is responsible for ensuring that all gaming within the Gun Lake Tribe’s jurisdiction is operated in compliance with the Gaming Compact between the Gun Lake Tribe and the State of Michigan, the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, and the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Ordinance.
Interested candidates seeking to become certified as a Gaming Commissioner must meet eligibility requirements as outlined:
- Must be a Gun Lake Tribal Member
- Must be 21 years of age
- Able to successfully pass a background check
- No felony or any gaming offence(s)
- No misdemeanors within the last five years
- Able to travel
